Meet the Animals
There’s more to The Acres than just a beautiful place to stay — it’s also home to our much-loved farm family. Wander the property and meet Teddy & Maple, our Highland cows, Slim & Shady the donkeys, Karen and her four daughters the goats, plus our pigs, sheep, alpacas, chickens and plenty of other friendly farm faces.
Guests can join us for morning feeding time, meet the animals up close and enjoy a real taste of country life. From our curious goats and cheeky pigs to our fluffy Highlanders, there’s always someone waiting to say hello. 🌿
Highland Cows
Say hello to Teddy and Maple, our beautiful Highland cows and two of the most loved residents at The Acres. With their shaggy coats, big personalities and gentle nature, they’re always a favourite with guests young and old. Keep an eye out during your stay — you’ll often spot them wandering the paddocks, enjoying the peaceful farm life. ❤️
Goats
Meet Karen and her four daughters, our cheeky little goat family at The Acres. Full of personality, curiosity and just the right amount of mischief, they’re always keeping us entertained. You’ll often spot the girls following Mum around the paddock, climbing on anything they can find or coming over to see what the guests are up to!
Donkeys
Meet Slim and Shady, our cheeky resident donkeys and two much-loved characters at The Acres. Friendly, curious and always keen to see what’s going on, you’ll often find them wandering over to say hello — especially around feeding time! They’re a favourite with the kids and a big part of the farm experience.

Great food is a big part of every celebration at The Acres. With our own experienced catering team, we can create a menu to suit the style of your event — from relaxed food truck and cocktail menus to generous buffets, shared feasts and beautifully presented two-course meals.
Everything is taken care of onsite, including the food, kitchen equipment and service staff, making your day simple from start to finish. We can also add those extra touches, including grazing options, our gelato cart, getting-ready breakfast and lunch boxes, and next-morning recovery breakfasts.
Whether you’re after something relaxed and casual or a more traditional sit-down celebration, we’ll work with you to create food that fits your day.
In-House Styling
Whatever you’re celebrating, our in-house styling service can help bring it all together. From weddings and birthdays to engagements, baby showers, corporate events and special celebrations, we can style the space to suit your occasion.
With our own collection of tables, chairs, linens, tableware, signage, décor and styling pieces, we can take care of everything from setup through to the finishing touches.
